Cranberry cooking contest to take place Nov. 15

The A.D. Makepeace Company will host the 6th Annual "Make it Better with Cranberries Cooking Contest" and are looking for participants to take part.

The contest, which is held conjunction with the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers’ Association, Trucchi’s Supermarkets and Edible South Shore and South Coast magazine, will take place Nov. 15 event at Makepeace Farms at 146 Tihonet Road, with the results to be announced online at some point following the contest.

Participants' recipes must include a cranberry product (fresh cranberries, cranberry juice, dried cranberries, or prepared cranberry sauce), and the contest is open to all ages and skill levels.

First, second and third place prize-winners will be selected in both the adult and student/youth (8-16) category. Selected recipes will also be printed in the 2015 edition of the "Make it Better with Cranberries Cookbook."

Entries must be received on Saturday, Nov. 15 at Makepeace Farms between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.; at Trucchi’s Supermarket, 534 County Street (Route 140) Taunton between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.; and Trucchi’s Supermarket, 438 West Grove Street (Route 28), Middleborough between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.
