Cub Scouts take Bronze in Olympics
Wareham Cub Scout Pack 93 received the Bronze Ribbon at the 24th Annual Cub Scout Olympics, held at the New Bedford Rod and Gun Club June 12.
The Olympics, which included standard Olympic events such as the 50-yard dash, shot put and standing long jump, as well as an obstacle course and ball toss and relays, was hosted by Pack 63 of Westport. Six packs from Wareham to Little Compton, RI attended with 74 individuals participating.
Sixty-three gold, silver, and bronze medals were awarded to individuals, and ribbons were awarded to the packs with the most medal-winners.
The overall Gold Ribbon was won by Pack 13 of North Dartmouth, and will adorn their Pack Flag. The Silver Ribbon was given to Pack 51 of Acushnet.
