Deadline to register for 'College Experience' course is Jan. 28
High school juniors, seniors, and out-of-school youth can register for a "College Experience" course at Wareham High School up until January 28.
The college-prep course, which prepares students with study skills and for interest inventory and Accuplacer assessments, is a new program funded by a grant from A.D. Makepeace.
Students can receive five high school credits or three college credits while being taught by a Massasoit Community College professor.
Wareham High School students should see their guidance counselor to sign up, and non-enrolled students should contact Barbara Sullivan, an Educational Advisor with the Educational Opportunity Center a Massachusetts Education and Career Opportunities, Inc. at 508-863-3691.
The courses will be held on Wednesdays, beginning January 28, from 2:20 to 4:50.
