DECA students see success at state-level competition
Wareham High School’s DECA Club members saw success at the state-level competition earlier this month. DECA is an organization that aims to prepare students for careers in business and entrepreneurship.
Seven of the club’s members will be attending the International Career Development Conference in Atlanta.
At states, a number of students placed:
-Laura Clements tested in the top 6, and placed in the Accounting Application series
-Amaya Anderson placed in Business Finance
-Bridged Irving and Emilie Keating placed for their written Financial Literacy Project
-Kissamy Georges placed in Principles of Business Management and Administration
-Charlotte Roy placed in Marketing Communications
Indiana Troupe was reelected to the Massachusetts DECA State Action Team.
DECA advisor Lisa Cunha was also honored with an award recognizing her five years of commitment advising the group.
