Dog Park rememberance day Nov. 7
Event Date
The Dog Park Affiliation of Wareham will host its second remembrance day for the pets running around the great dog park in the sky.
The remembrance day will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Wareham Dog Park, 75 Maple Springs Road.
This will be an opportunity to celebrate the beautiful lives of pets that have passed on while beautifying the community. Visitors can plant daffodil bulbs in the park’s Remembrance Garden and along the trails. The garden beds will be prepared ahead of time, so visitors don’t need to dig or kneel. Volunteers will be present to help with planting.
Other ways to remember the pets include story walks around the dog park, a visual arts and creative writing gallery and “PAWSitive” rock painting. Painted rocks will be sealed and placed around the park afterwards.
There will be a rainbow banner to add your pet’s name to. Visitors will also be able to take home a memory token after the event.
Visitors can bring their dogs as long as they’re on leashes.
The rain date for the event is Sunday, Nov. 8.
