Dominant performances from girls track and field

The girl's track and field team brought their record to 2-1-1 after a 68-68 tie against Seekonk on Thursday, May 1. Double winners were Paige Fehskens in the 800 meter (2:44.3) and mile run (6:01.3) and Maddie St. Julien in the 200 meter dash (27.7) and the triple jump (32' 7") with a Division 4 Championship qualifying jump.

Other winners included Kali Fernandes in the long jump (13' 10.25"), Emily Cummings in the high jump (4' 10"), Lexie Calvin in the shot put (30' 7.5"), Kelley Peterson in the 400 meter dash (63.3) and the 4x400 meter team of Brett McSherry, Angela Pearle, Cummings and Peterson (4:29.8) who had to win the event to force a tie for the meet.

At the South Coast Freshman-Sophomore meet over April vacation, Kali Fernandes won the 200m (28.3) and got second in the long jump (14' 3") and Lexie Calvin threw a personal best and got second in the shot put (30' 7.5").

At the South Coast Conference Relays three relays won their race. They were the 4x100m team of Emily Cummings, Maddie St. Julien, Karyna Suarez and Hunter Thatcher (53.50), the 4x400m team of Kali Fernandes, Caitlyn Berger, Maddie St. Julien and Kelley Peterson (4:27.30), and the shot put team of Caitlyn Berger, Lexie Calvin and Hunter Thatcher.
