Dorothy L. Silvia, 84, of Onset, died Friday, May 14, 2021 at her home. She was the widow of the late Lionel F. Silvia.

Born in Stoughton, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Gladys Gichel. A previous resident of Stoughton, she lived in Easton for 60 years before moving to Onset 10 years ago. Mrs. Silvia worked as a VNA home health aide for many years.

Mrs. Silvia enjoyed camping and cooking. You would always be well fed if you visited Dot. She loved being home and spending time with her family and was a mother to many. Her greatest joy was her grandson, Jon-Lawrence.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Silvia and her partner Bruce Gannon of Onset, Lionel Silvia, Jr. and his partner Neeroj Mishra of New Bedford, Leonard Silvia and his partner Brian Martin of Dighton, and her honorary and loving daughter, Jesse Blais of Easton; her grandson, Jon-Lawrence Koloba of Somerville. She was predeceased by her brothers, the late Chester Gichel, Edward Gichel and Walter Gichel.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wed., May 19, 2021 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 4 – 6 PM. Funeral services and burial will be private.
