Driver wanted by Wareham Police for hit and run

Wareham Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a driver reportedly involved in a hit and run on Monday, March 4.

Wareham Police responded to the incident, involving a pedestrian, at approximately 6:53 p.m.

At the scene, Officer Joseph Cardoza reportedly discovered a 48 year-old Wareham resident who had been struck while using a crosswalk near Marion Road and Swifts Beach Road.

The pedestrian, who’s indentity was not released, allegedly sustained minor injuries as a result of the hit and run.

Police said the individual was transported to Tobey Hospital by Wareham EMS for treatment.

Police said the operator of the car involved never stopped and it is believed to be a red Ford F150 pick-up truck.

The case remains under investigation by Wareham Police.
