Egg-citing Easter hunts across Wareham
It was a egg-cellent, sunny day for Easter egg hunts in Tihonet Village and Onset on Saturday, March 30.
The A.D. Makepeace Company hosted its annual hunt at its Tihonet Road property at 10 a.m., giving ambitious hunters a chance to grab their goodie bags from the Easter Bunny and head across town to Onset, where the Onset Bay Association kicked off its hunt at 11 a.m.
"This is the best day ever!" one boy yelled as he finished up the Tihonet Village hunt.
It was a sentiment that likely resonated with everyone who heard it, as the sun beat down and the weather finally began feeling like spring.
Over in Onset approximately 250 kids gathered for an Easter egg hunt that ended almost as soon as it began!
In less than five minutes the 4,600 candy-filled eggs were grabbed up by the swarm of little egg hunter that descended upon the Onset Bluffs.
Nicole Miceli helped organize the event, but says she had some help along the way.
"A special thanks to the young adult program at Wareham High School. Miss. Kashner's class," who filled 1500 eggs with candy according to Miceli.
