Contested races for the town’s upcoming April 4 election will soon start taking shape as nomination papers are available starting Thursday, Jan. 12.

Papers can be found in the Town Clerk’s office in Town Hall, located at 54 Marion Road. The last day to return completed nomination papers is Wednesday, Feb. 15 by 5 p.m. in the Town Clerk's office.

The last day to register to vote in the town election or at Town Meeting will be Tuesday, March 14 until 8 p.m. in the Town Clerk’s office.

Ten seats will appear on this year’s ballot. On the Board of Selectmen, two seats are up for three-year terms. Two Assessor seats are open for three-year terms. The School Committee has two open seats for three-year terms. The Constable, Sewer User Commissioner and At-Large Sewer Commissioner all have one open seat for three-year terms. The Housing Authority has one open seat for a five-year term.
