Contested races for the town’s upcoming April 2 election will soon take shape as nomination papers are available starting Monday, Jan. 7.

Papers can be found in the Town Clerk’s office in Town Hall, located at 54 Marion Road. The last day to pick up nomination papers is Thursday, Feb. 7. The last day to return completed nomination papers is Monday, Feb. 11 by 5 p.m. in the Town Clerk's office.

The last day to register to vote in the town election or at Town Meeting will be Wednesday, March 13 until 8 p.m. in the Town Clerk’s office.

Ten seats will appear on this year’s ballot. On the Board of Selectmen, two seats are up for three-year terms. One Assessor seat is open for a three-year term. The School Committee has two open seats, one for a three-year term the other for a two-year term. The Sewer User Commissioner, Town Moderator and Town Clerk all have one open seat for three-year terms. The Housing Authority has one open seat for a five-year term.
