With some help from local high school students, the Wareham-New Bedford Lodge of Elks have gone digital.

Last year, lodge members contacted Upper Cape Cod Regional High School’s information technology department for assistance in developing a new website. Information technology instructor Walt Smirnov put the challenge out there and a team of seniors stepped forward. Working with lodge liaison Ted Hatch, the students spent months developing the new site, which went live recently.

For their efforts, the students received polo shirts and certificates of appreciation from the lodge members.
