Evelyn M. (Lacasse) Godbout, 78, of West Wareham, died July 13 at home while surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Henry R. Godbout. They were married for 58 years. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Albertine (Lizotte) Lacasse.

She was born in New Britain, CT and lived in Fairhaven and Wareham for most of her life. She graduated from New Britain High School.

Mrs. Godbout worked in Accounts Payable at Acten International in Taunton for many years before retiring.

She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting and going to the casino.

Survivors include her husband, Henry R. Godbout; a son, Michael Godbout of Wareham; three daughters, Lori Semple and Lisa Soares both of Wareham and Paula Rotondo of Middleboro; a sister, Lucille Roy of Washington; two brothers, Lionel Lacasse of Onset and Norman Lacasse of Bristol, CT; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Ronald Godbout and great granddaughter, Alyvia Godbout.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 21 in St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery.
