Families trickle in to Memorial Day ceremonies

May 29, 2017

Memorial Day ceremonies, including placing wreaths across town to honor those who lost their lives serving the country, took place Monday.

The ceremony began at the Town Green, moved to Center Cemetery and St. Patrick's Cemetery, continued to Besse Park, Agawam Cemetery, Dudley Brown Square in Onset, moved to the Onset bluffs, then to the stone bridge in Onset and ended at the Wareham Town Hall.

Because of the day's cold rain, the times of the ceremonies were changed and the turnout was low, but some people still brought their families, wrapped in raincoats, to show their respect this Memorial Day.
