Fire quickly snuffed out on Main Street

A fire was quickly put out at 448 Main St. Thursday afternoon.
Wareham Fire Assistant Chief Patrick Haskell said that the Department received structure fire call at 11:17 a.m. He said en route to the scene they were told there was pillow on fire on the roof.
After putting out the fire before spread, Haskell said the Department began ventilating smoke that was in the building. One civilian was reported as injured, although the extent of his or her injuries are not immediately clear.
According to officials, there was $500 worth of damage to the building. There were 14 firefighters on the scene and the cause of the fire was ruled to be accidental. By 12:30 p.m. the last firefighter had left the scene.
