Jared M. White, a former Wareham resident, has been honored by the United States Navy and achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer.

White graduated Wareham High School in 1998, and enlisted in the Navy in 2000. He is currently serving as an aviation structural mechanic, and was recently honored as Senior Sailor of the Year. As part of the award, White’s name and hometown of Wareham was inscribed on a P8 aircraft.
