Four arrested in Summer Street robbery, victim stabbed

Two brothers and another man and woman were arrested in connection with a Sept. 19 robbery and later stabbing after an incident at a home on Summer Street in Wareham.

Police responded at 1 a.m., where a 28-year-old man who had escaped to another neighborhood home told officers that that he was robbed of cash and chased from the Summer Street home by three men, one of whom stabbed him during the chase, according to police.

The victim, who police did not identify, was treated at Tobey Hospital and released, police said.

Though initially unable to provide an exact address or the names of the individuals involved, the victim later provided the address of 26 Summer Street, police said.

Police arrived at the home and arrested brothers Brian Higgins, 26, and Daniel Higgins, 24, and charged the pair with armed robbery. The victim was able to positively identify the brothers as being among the men who were involved, according to police.

While searching the home, detectives found 23-year-old Noah Martin Long hiding in the attic, and arrested and charged him with armed robbery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon due to his alleged involvement in the stabbing, police said.

Later arrested was 23-year-old Hannah Dahlstrom of 8 Beech Street, Bellingham, who police said was present and involved in the incident. Dahlstrom was charged with armed robbery.

The suspects were arraigned at Wareham District Court on Sept. 19. The police investigation is ongoing.
