Free dance classes at the Boys and Girls Club rescheduled
The original dates for Dance Around the World and Through the Ages, a free dance program offered by the Wareham Boys and Girls Club, have been rescheduled.
The classes will now be held on Mondays, March 14, 21, and 28 from 4-5 p.m. for students ages 11-13, and on Tuesdays, March 15, 22, and 29 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. for students ages 7-10.
Younger students will focus on dances from other countries, while older students will travel back in time and learn a dance from a fun era in American history.
"This will be a very fun experience. I have been teaching for many years and all the students always have a great time in my class. There is something for everyone," said resident Christina Piscitelli, who will teach the class.
Students do not need to be a member of the Club to participate, nor do they need to have any prior dance experience. However, students are required to attend all three classes within their age group. Classes will be limited to 30 students. To sign up or for more information about the classes, please call 508-295-5480.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the from the Wareham Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
