The Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home in Wareham — along with nine other locations across the region — will now be known as Chapman Funerals & Cremation.

The family-owned company is retaining the same company structure and staff. 

The name change is for simplicity’s sake, said the owners. 

“Especially in this digital age, clarity is important,” said Bill Chapman, who is a fifth-generation owner of the funeral home along with his brother Mark and cousin David Chapman.

The company has been family-owned for more than a century.
