Garden Club is branching out for Arbor Day Festival

The Wareham Garden Club’s Arbor Day Festival will return to the A.D. Makepeace Company, 158 Tihonet Road, on Tuesday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a special emphasis on fun for the whole family.
Educational activities include a craft table, face painting, an interactive butterfly lecture with Plymouth County entomologist Blake Dinius, flower arrangements with flower show judge Christine Decas, a seed planting table, a “Plant Mobile” from the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, a children’s story reading with Marcia Hickey of the Wareham Free Library and tree identification tips and a nature scavenger hunt with the Wareham Land Trust.
Master Gardener Joyce Holster will be there to answer any questions about trees and gardening. There will also be free tree saplings for guests to take home and plant.
The event, funded by the Wareham Community Events Committee, will take place rain or shine.
