Garden Club holds Arbor Day celebration

An “Arbor Day Celebration” will be presented by the Wareham Garden Club Tuesday, April 16th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wareham Free Library, 59 Marion Road.
There will be a White Dogwood seedling giveaway while supplies last. Blake Dinius, Entomologist for Plymouth County, will give an educational talk about insects at 11:00.
Wareham Children’s Librarian, Marcia Hickey, will set up a StoryWalk and read a book or two about trees.
There will be a seed planting table for children, face painting and a recycling activity as well as information about Reducing, Reusing and Recycling.
The Wareham Land Trust will be present with information about their organization and their hikes. The club will also display a story board showcasing their numerous community activities and applications for club membership will be available.
