WAREHAM – Gayle M. (Kakshtis) Ruggiero, 75, of Wareham, passed way on July 9, 2025, at Tobey Hospital. She was the wife of Robert F. Ruggiero and the daughter of the late Lou and Nora (Hilchey) Kakshtis.

She was born in Brockton and lived in Randolph before moving to Wareham 34 years ago. She graduated from Randolph High School.

Mrs. Ruggiero loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, cooking, and traveling to Florida to visit her son. She enjoyed playing Bingo at the Wareham Senior Center.

Survivors include her husband, Robert F. Ruggiero; a son, Scott Bruno and his wife, Erica of Winter Garden, FL; 5 stepchildren, Michael Bruno of Lakeland, FL, Gina Holden and her husband, Roger of Winston Salem, NC, Christopher Ruggiero of Irvine, CA, Gina Ruggiero of Dana Point, CA, and Robyn Vaccara and her husband, Stefano of Brooklyn, NY; a sister, Linda Leland of SC; 8 grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jason, Olivia, Louis, Siena, Joseph, Jacqué, and Robert. She was the sister of the late Michael Kakshtis.

Visiting hours to celebrate Gayle’s life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
