Gatemen look ahead to 2024 season
With summer on its way, the Wareham Gatemen are preparing for the 2024 season of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
“As a franchise member of the historic Cape Cod Baseball League that celebrated its’ 100th anniversary in 2023 we work year-round to provide our players, interns and the community at large with a memorable summer baseball experience,” said president Glen Hannington.
Hannington said, “On the field, our players will work with our highly qualified coaching staff which will focus 100% of their efforts to develop the skills needed to become a successful professional in the game of wood bat baseball. We pride ourselves in offering our players the best equipment and the use of suitable facilities to improve as a player.”
He added, “I would like to extend an invitation to all of you to become a member of the Gatemen family. We’re always looking for new volunteers, host families, bat kids, sponsors, game day interns, national anthem singers or in any way you can contribute.”
The Gateman are looking for boys and girls ages 10 and up to be bat kids for the organization for the 2024 season. Bat kids attend one to two games per week and help the team during the game.
