Gerard V. Hannon, 85
Gerard V. Hannon, 85, of Onset, formerly of Foxboro, died July 7, 2019 at home. He was the husband of Dorothy L. (Judge) Hannon and the son of the late Gerard V. and Mary (Hurley) Hannon.
He was born in Boston and raised in Roslindale. He lived for many years in Foxboro and spent summers in Onset until moving there permanently in 1991. He served in the U.S.
Army.
Mr. Hannon worked for the Foxboro Company for many years before retiring.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Onset and Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod. He served on the Wareham Recreation Committee. He enjoyed golfing and sailing and
was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy L. (Judge) Hannon; a son, William J. Hannon of Hammock, FL; 2 daughters, M. Michelle Swearingen of Shirley and Denise Hannon-Gross
of Avon, CT; 4 grandchildren; a great granddaughter; an adopted son, Rev. Michael Ciryak.
His Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in St. Mary’s Church, Onset Ave., Onset. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham.
