Police place three in custody for alleged involvement in stolen vehicles, several motor vehicle break-ins

Wareham Police received reports of three stolen vehicles and numerous motor vehicle break-ins across town earlier this month.

The reports came early July 13 prompting police to investigate where they discovered the incidents in Wareham were connected to similar reports in New Bedford, Somerset and Swansea.

Luis Santiago, 27-years-old of New Bedford, Brian Santiago, 24-years-old of New Bedford and Syaire Burgos 18-years-old of Lawrence were all taken into custody during a joint investigation between the Wareham, New Bedford, Somerset and Swansea police departments.

For the incidents in Wareham alone, the three individuals are facing a combined 41 counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, 12 counts of larceny, three counts of larceny of a motor vehicle and three counts of malicious destruction to a motor vehicle.

The three men are also facing several other charges for their actions in New Bedford, Somerset and Swansea.

The departments also recovered stolen property from the break-ins which has been returned to the rightful owners.
