The Wareham High girls basketball team was eliminated from the Division III South Sectional tournament with a loss to Abington, 70-16, on Friday night.

Abington, the division's top seed, proved to be too much for the eighth-seeded Vikings, who advanced earlier in the week with a win over rival Rochester.

Kia Fernandes, the team's only senior, led the group with five points.

After starting out 1-4, Wareham finished the season at 15-9.
