Give blood and raise a glass to help kids on Saint Patrick’s Day
Event has passed
When most people invite one another to have a pint on Saint Patrick’s Day, they’re thinking of beer, not blood.
To Boston Children’s Hospital, however, there’s no such thing as a holiday. 365 days a year, hospital staff help young patients in desperate need of blood donations.
The Wareham Police Association will host a Saint Patrick’s Day blood drive in support of Boston Children’s Hospital on Friday, March 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The blood drive will take place at the Police Department, 2515 Cranberry Highway.
Those who donate blood and purchase a $10 pint glass will receive a $5 Saint Patrick’s Day meal voucher for Stone Path Malt, 11 Kendrick Road.
Making an appointment is required to donate blood. Donors can sign up at halfpints.childrenshospital.org/index.cfm?group=op&expand=6644&zc=02571.
