WAREHAM – Glenn W. Spinola, 63, of Wareham, died Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham.

Born in Wareham, he was the son of Anthony “Cushy” Spinola and the late Maryann (Gomes) Spinola. After attending Wareham Schools, Glenn worked as a construction laborer for Laborers’ Local # 385 in Fairhaven, and Laborers’ Local # 300 in Los Angeles where he lived for several years.

Glenn loved New England sports, especially the Patriots and Celtics. He enjoyed reading several newspapers each day to keep up with current events. Glenn loved spending time with his grandchildren, and enjoyed visiting the basketball courts in Venice Beach during his time in L.A. and here at the courts at Hammond School in Onset.

He enjoyed meeting people and talking with strangers, and would take the time to give life experience lessons to others.

The Spinola family would like to thank the ICU staff at Tobey Hospital for their care and compassion during this difficult time.

Glenn is survived by his son, Mychal Spinola and his wife Amanda of Sun Valley, CA; his father, Anthony “Cushy” Spinola of Onset; his grandchildren, Julian, Mychayla, and Aryana Spinola; his siblings, Lynn Spinola of Onset, Lisa Rego and her husband Paul of New Bedford, and Anthony “Tony” Spinola, Jr. of Onset. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Shikara, Erika, Cherese, Marquise, Marcus, Mariah, and Dylan..Also, as well as their respective children. Glenn was predeceased by his brother, the late Mark Spinola.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 9 to 11 AM at Chapman Funerals and Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM at the funeral home.
