Gordon R. McAloney, 55
Gordon R. McAloney, 55, of West Wareham, died March 2, at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. He was the husband of Rebecca A. (Florindo) McAloney.
Born in Quincy, he was the son of Doris G. (Veno) McAloney of Wareham, and the late Robert G. McAloney. He moved to Wareham in 1973.
Mr. McAloney was employed as a mechanic. He worked for Rawlings Garage in West Wareham, Brown’s Transportation, Press Systems of Mattapoisett, and Atkore International – AFC Cable of New Bedford.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, his daughter, Christy McAloney of West Wareham; his grandchildren, Tiana, Makiya, Nevaeh, and Leila; his sisters, Susan Ross and her husband, Daniel, of Rochester, and Carol Mattos and Debra McAloney both of Wareham. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham on Friday, March 8, at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
