Nov 9, 2021

On Monday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m., the Wareham Historical Society will host Attleboro historian Marian Wrightington’s “Oldies but Goodies” presentation, focused on early American culture.

Wrightington will “discuss American culture and bring history to life by using a display of artifacts relating to early American lifestyle,” according to a Wareham Historical Society statement. She will show artifacts and explain “how they worked using family stories and incorporating the origins of common phrases relative to the artifacts.”

Wrightington, who will be dressed in authentic costume, will be available after the presentation to answer questions. She has been a member of the Attleboro Historical Commission since 1976 and has lived in a 1740 house for 55 years.

The event will be held at the Methodist Meeting House located at 495 Main St. Refreshments will be served after the program. It is free for historical society members and $2 for non-members.
