The Gleason Family YMCA is hosting two family fun events this month to help ring in the holiday season

The first event, Snowy Night, Bright Lights, will be held on Friday Dec.12 at 6 p.m. The event consists of a one mile walk/run on the illuminated outdoor trail that surrounds the Gleason Family YMCA. Santa will be flying in to sing carols and join in the holiday fun by the bonfire. S’mores and hot chocolate will be served.

Snow, rain or shine, Snowy Night, Bright Lights will kick off at 6 p.m. Price is $15 per person and registration includes an event t-shirt, glow bracelet, jingle bells, refreshments and a raffle ticket for prizes.

The event is pet friendly and dogs can be brought for $3 (fee includes do treats). All children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is at the YMCA welcome center. Tickets may also be purchased at the event.

The following morning on Dec. 13 Santa will be available for breakfast and photos from 9 to 11 a.m.

Photographer Lauren DeGregoire will take family photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus and parents are welcome to bring a camera and take their own pictures.

Tickets are available at the welcome center. Tickets are $8 for adults and $8 for a child which includes the photo and pancake breakfast. A family of four is $22 and each additional child is $3.

All proceeds from both events will support the Gleason Family YMCA annual campaign.
