Jackson Gillman to perform at Spinney Library Grand Opening

Jul 16, 2012

Onset's very own Jackson Gillman will be providing family entertainment at the Spinney Memorial Library Grand Opening on Monday, July 23.

Gillman will follow the 11:30 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony. The Friends of the Wareham Free Library will also present a ceremonial key to town officials as they turn the building over to the town.

Wareham citizens will be able to tour the new branch of the Wareham Free Library, take out books, use the computer and Internet, or even apply for a library card.

Jackson Gillman is a mime, actor, songsmith and storyteller. Also known as "The Stand-Up Chameleon," he will share his love of libraries during the show with his trademark wit and wisdom.

His performance will take place on the back patio deck of the library from noon to 12:30 p.m. Read more about Gillman at his website, www.jacksongillman.com.
