James V. Fox, 81

James V. Fox, 81, passed on to his eternal rest following a long period of failing health.

Jim was born on December 3, 1933 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Valentine and Elisabeth (Boyle) Fox. Early in his life, his family moved to Dearborn, Michigan, where he attended school and the Henry Ford Community College. Following school, he was employed as a Sale Representative for the Detroit, Toledo, and Ironton Railroad (previously owned by Henry Ford). Following Jim's employment with the railroad, he became a manager at the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company Ford Group Office in Dearborn. He worked for the insurance company until his retirement when he moved to Wareham in 1980. He was a lifelong member of the Bishop Foley Chapter of the Knights of Columbus in Dearborn.

He is survived by two sons, Robert J. Fox of Clarkston, Michigan, and John E. Fox of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Robert J. Fox of Pittsfield Township, Michigan; Kari Derkos of Rochester Hills, Michigan, and Kati Sporer of Canton, Michigan. He is also survived by a sister Kathryn Sobota and a niece Elisabeth Perry, both of Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren and three grandnieces and many longtime friends. He was predeceased by brother John E. Fox who was killed in the Korean conflict.

Services and burial will be in Michigan at a later date.
