JBA Summer League round-up
The results are in for week 5 of Wareham JBA's Jason J. Andrade Memorial Summer Basketball League.
The current division standings, with tiebreakers taken into account, are as follows.

Division 1 Girls - 1. Mercury (4-1), 2. Storm (3-2), 3. Sparks (2-3), 4. Sky (1-4)
Division 2 Boys - 1. Demon Deacons (4-1), 2. Runnin' Rebels (3-2), 3. Eagles (2-3), 4. Minutemen (1-4)
Division 2 Boys
Nana's Ice Cream Parlor Demon Deacons, 48; Wareham Police Association Eagles, 33
The Demon Deacons took sole possession of first place in the division with their blowout win of the Eagles. Justin Lopes led the team with 19 points. Dominic Mello and Avyn Lopes each scored 9 points. Tyler Noe had 6 points and Vincent Silva-Pierce finished with 5 points.
Tyler Santos and Bryce Fernandes scored 10 points apiece to lead the Eagles. John Todd finished with 8 points and Josh Debarros chipped in with 5 points.
Cotter Machine Company Minutemen, 40; Silvia's Concession Runnin' Rebels, 36
The Minutemen picked up their first win of the season with a thrilling win over the Rebels behind 13 points apiece from Taylor Carlson and Desmond Powell. Tony Lopez added 8 points and Jonah Depina had 6 points.
Kaemen Thomas had 10 points to lead the Rebels offense. Danny Minkle Jr. added 8 points with Joey Silvia scoring 7 points. Beau Vasconcellos scored 6 points. Jackson Cote had 4 points and Andre' Silvia chipped in with a foul shot.
Division 1 Girls
In Memory of David Silva Sparks, 24; Salerno's Function Hall Sky, 21
Erica Trask's 11 points led the Sparks as they edged out the Sky for the win. Allison Maxim tallied 7 points and Cienne Fernandes added 6 points.
Gabrielle Lefrancois led the Sky with 10 points. Sasha Miceli and Jamie McCormack finished with 4 points each. Reign Fernandes hit for 2 points and Abigail Wood chipped in with a foul shot.
Team Onujiogu Mercury, 26; In Memory of Ann Marie Uva Storm, 22
The Mercury edged out the Storm for the lead in the division behind 16 points from Tieyanna Yancey. Amalia Santos scored 5 points and Bailey Colon added 3 points. Tiara Duarte rounded out the team's offense with 2 points.
Amber Borden's 6 points led the Storm offense. Jillian Mello and Kendall Baptiste scored 4 points apiece. The trio of Isabella Roberge, Blossom Roberge and Jala Yates hit for 2 points each.
Division 1 Boys
Shirt Shack Bulls, 57; Marc Anthony's Bucks, 48
The Bulls got double figures scoring from Jamual Sims (15), Alexx Rezendes (14), Ashantay Tavares (12), and Mason Lopes (10) to push past the Bucks. Vincent Gomes scored 4 points and Marcus Monteiro added 2 points.
Koby Andrade's 16 points led the Bucks. Travis Johnston had 13 points and Jovahn Tomas chipped in with 11 points. John Thomas finished the game with 8 points.
Cotter Machine Company Thunder, 44; Narrows Crossing Restaurant Grizzlies, 34
Jahmal Silva scored 21 points to help the Thunder officially clinch the top seed in the playoffs. Durell Barros added 12 points and Sonny Fernandes had 7 points. Robert Evans and Gregory Pina had 2 points apiece.
Jonathan Warden's 20 points led the Grizzlies. Josh Onujiogu scored 8 points. Michael Gill finished with 4 points and Nick Perry hit for 2 points.
Sweet D Lakers, 36; J & M Realty Hornets, 34
Curtis Merritt and Stephen McCarthy combined for 25 points as the Lakers narrowly edged out the Hornets. Tyler Rondeau scored 9 points and T. J. Barboza chipped in with 2 points.
Michael McAllister's 19 points led the Hornets. Nick Pavilonis scored 8 points. Trey Miranda and Anthony Gomes finished with 2 points apiece.
