Jeffrey Lukan, 61

Jul 10, 2018

Jeffrey R. Lukan, 61, of East Wareham, passed away unexpectedly on July 7.

Born in Evanston, Illinois, he was the son of the late Joseph and Joanne (Davis) Lukan. Jeff worked as a facility steam engineer, was an honorable veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Air Force.

Jeff was an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed letting the wind blow through his hair while riding. Those who truly knew Jeff, know he would appreciate the humor in that.

He is survived by his loving partner of more than 35 years, Linda LeVangie of East Wareham; his son James LeVangie and wife Cynthia both of Forestdale; his other loving companion Dudley; two brothers, Joseph Lukan of San Antonio, Texas, and Justin Lukan of Marshfield; and his sister, Julie Richardson of Hingham.

Jeff loved life, was very generous and he dearly loved his friends and family. He was quick witted with the jokes and would love to be remembered as being a good friend, brother (in-law) and dearly loved and was loved by his life-long companion and best friend, Linda.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 16, at 11:30 a.m. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne. Please arrive at the cemetery by 11:15 a.m. Visiting hours omitted.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeff’s memory are greatly appreciated to assist with his final rest made payable to Linda LeVangie.
