Joan A. Conroy, 80, of Wareham, passed away Wednesday Sept. 17 at the Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center. Ms. Conroy was born in Cambridge the daughter of the late James K. and Marie (McKinnon) Conroy. She attended Saint Paul Elementary School and graduated from Cambridge High and Latin. She worked for many years as a clerk at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She enjoyed TV, listening to the radio and was an avid reader.

Joan is survived by her brother John “Jack” Conroy of W. Wareham and many loving relatives and friends. She was the sister of the late Jim, Ed and Marie Conroy. Visiting hours have been omitted. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 25, at noon in Saint Patrick’s Church, 82 High Street, Wareham. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend and to please arrive at the church at 11:45 a.m. Interment in Cambridge City Cemetery will be private.
