Joan E. Barry, 70, of Bourne formerly of New Bedford, passed away Friday, June 5, at the Bourne Manor Extended Care Facility with her family at her side. Mrs. Barry was the wife of the late Robert J. Barry.

She was born in Brockton, the daughter of the late John F. and Georgianna (Benson) McLaughlin. She enjoyed Indian collectibles and walking.

Mrs. Barry was survived by her daughters; Diane McNeil of South Dartmouth, Karen Medeiros of New Bedford, Deborah Resendes of Rochester and Jean Lockyer of Wareham. She was the sister of Mary Harrington of Bridgewater. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was the sister of the late Ray and Bill McLaughlin, Shirley McLaughlin and Barbara Walsh.
