Joanne H. Churchill, 73, of Swifts Beach formerly of West Bridgewater, passed away Aug. 27 at home with her family at her side. Joanne was the wife of Brian C. Churchill of Swifts Beach.

She was born in Brockton the daughter of the late Wesley A. and Barbara L. (Iveson) Howard. She attended West Bridgewater Public Schools and was a late member of the West Bridgewater Community Church. She was all about family and others first, helping all those in need. She also enjoyed gardening and crafts.

She was also survived by her children; Francine Backlund of North Dartmouth, Donna Ostiguy of Wareham, Lesley Billadeau and her husband George of East Taunton, Joseph Ostiguy and his wife Sheila of Falmouth, Ann Parks and her husband Bill of Bridgewater and Amy Welch and her husband Mike of Nashua, New Hampshire and Stepson Brian Roach and wife Tina of Garland, Texas, and Stepdaughters Dawn Marie Roach of Mesquite, Texas and Ramona Locke and husband Sean Locke of Brookline. She was the sister of Cathryn Howard-Teed of Raynham and she was also survived by 23 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many loving relatives and friends. She was the sister of the late Gail Earle and Edna Rilinger.
