John Vieira, 56, of Onset, died on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham.

Born in Wareham, the son of Albertina (Oliveira) Vieira of Onset and the late Tony Vieira, he as a lifelong resident of Onset.

Mr. Vieira worked as a carpenter. He also enjoyed landscaping, building Koi ponds, riding motorcycles, and his dogs.

Survivors include three sons, Jarrod A. Gracia of Wareham, Jason A. Gracia of New Bedford and Anthony Vieira of Wareham; his mother, Albertina (Oliveira) Vieira of Onset; three sisters, Yvonne Vieira, Loey Vieira and Maria Harris all of Wareham; and two grandchildren, Jason Gracia, Jr. and Christian Gracia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 5 at St. Mary’s Church, Onset Ave., Onset at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours have been omitted.
