Joseph Paul Sampson, 21, of Onset, died Thursday, Feb. 25 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Plymouth. He was the son of Roberta L. Sampson and Nicholas Andrade both of Onset.

Joey was born in Plymouth and graduated from Wareham High School. Joey held an apprentice barbers license and formerly worked at Bad Boys Cuts in New Bedford. Most recently, he worked as a pest control technician for Ehrlich Pest Control in Hingham.

Joey was a polite, well respected young man who was extremely proud of his Cape Verdean heritage. He will be greatly missed by his many family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, his brothers, Christopher Pina of Wareham and Nicholas Nielson of Holbrook, his maternal grandparents, Carolann Sampson of Plymouth and Charlie Sampson of Fall River and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 2 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
