Judith Peterson of Wareham passed away surrounded by her children on June 30, 2022, at the age of 86, after battling cancer. She was born in Quincy to the late Harlan and Doris Palmer. She worked most of her life as a bookkeeper.

Judy was an extremely giving and generous person with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed spending her time at the Wareham Senior Center and exercise classes. She also enjoyed volunteering at the library. She especially loved having coffee with her friends. Judy was an avid reader and knitter. She also adored spending time with her beloved cat, Muffin. Judy was the rock of our family and was most fulfilled in life when she was caring for her loved ones.

Judy was the devoted mother of James Peterson and his wife, Kristen, of Marion, Lynne Ericson of New Bedford, Sherri Peterson and her husband, Michael, of Weymouth and predeceased by Lisa Marais of Plymouth. She was the best nana to her cherished grandchildren Daniel, Cassandra, Carl, Elin, Finneas, Grace, Emma, and Allison. She had three adored great grandchildren Vera, Anya, and Phoenix. Also, she was the loving sister of Marilyn Knowles of Norwell, Robert Palmer of Wales and daughter-in-law, Pam Peterson of Wareham.

A mother's hug lasts long after she lets go. Her family and close friends look forward to celebrating her life, the way she always celebrated ours.
