Julia Irene (Aubin) Asselin, 84
BUZZARDS BAY – Julia Irene (Aubin) Asselin, 84, of Buzzards Bay, passed away on Oct. 24, 2026, at Tobey Hospital, Wareham. She was the wife of the late Donald E. Asselin and the daughter of the late Clarence and Irene (Papillion) Aubin.
She was born in Northampton and lived in Chicopee for many years before moving to Onset and then Buzzards Bay. She graduated from Springfield High School, Springfield.
Mrs. Asselin worked as a cashier for many years at Big Y in Chicopee before retiring.
She enjoyed crocheting, plastic canvas stitching, cryptograms and puzzles.
Survivors include her children, Donald E. Asselin, Jr. of Ft. Worth, TX, Karen Asselin Chapman of Leonard, TX, Brenda L. Casale of Buzzards Bay, and David A. Asselin of Chicopee; 4 grandchildren, James Stoddard, Jessica Stoddard, Gabe Millirons, and Gerard Casale; a great granddaughter, Isabelle Grace Kulas.
Visiting hours are from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
