June W. (Morse) Bruce, 91, of Saco, ME, a longtime resident of Wareham, died January 14, 2010 in The Monarch Center, Saco, Maine. She was the wife of the late Kenneth J. Bruce who died in 1991. They were married for 52 years. She was the daughter of the late Edwin L. & Besse (Parton) Morse. 

Mrs. Bruce was born in Burlington, VT and lived most of her life in Wareham. She moved to Maine in 2002.

She graduated from Wareham High School and then graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bryant College.

Mrs. Bruce was a member of the Tobey Hospital Guild, the Agawam Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Little Harbor Country Club and the Church in the Pines. 

She was an unconditionally loving mother, grandmother, wife and friend. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, golf and playing the trumpet.

Survivors include 2 sons; James E. Bruce and his wife, Mary, of Wareham, and David W. Bruce and his wife, Anne Robishaw, of Buxton, ME; her daughter, Virginia Atwood, of Ellicott City, MD; 8 grandchildren;  and 11 great grandchildren. 

Her memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2010 in the First Congregational Church, 11 Gibbs Ave., Wareham. Burial will be private in Center Cemetery.
