Kent W. McWilliams, Sr., 74, of Wareham, passed away July 10 at Tobey Hospital. He was the husband of 50 years of Rose M. (Santos) McWilliams and the son of the late Robert J. and Beatrice (Watts) McWilliams.

He was born in Middleboro and lived in Wareham for many years. He graduated from Wareham High School in 1958.

Mr. McWilliams served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1966. Mr. McWilliams worked at E. L. Morse Lumber Company in Wareham for many years.

He was a member of the Wankinquoah Rod and Gun Club in Middleboro. He enjoyed shell fishing, yardwork and most of all spending time with his family and going places with Rose.

Survivors include his wife, Rose M. (Santos) McWilliams; a son, Kent W. McWilliams, Jr. and his wife Claire of Wareham; a daughter, Angelika McWilliams and her companion, Kenneth Burr of Wareham; two brothers, Glenn McWilliams and his wife Norma of Wareham and Craig McWilliams and his girlfriend Linda of Tucson, AZ, four grandchildren, Kevin M. McWilliams, Karen M. Swift, Kyle M. McWilliams and Emma Rose McWilliams; many nephews and nieces. He was the brother of the late Darrell McWilliams.

His funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
