Kids bingo nights in Swifts Beach

Aug 14, 2021

Everyone is invited to kids bingo night in Swifts Beach.

Every Friday night, the Swifts Beach Improvement Association hosts kids bingo. It’s a family-friendly event that’s open to anyone in town — not just residents of Swifts Beach.

“We want to bring the kids together,” said board member Amanda Nee.

Bingo nights are held at Voss Hall, 38 Pleasant St.

Boards are two for $1, and the association sells candy as well. There are also free refreshments.

“These events will help us pay for the clubhouse,” said Kathleen Norris, an association board member. The association also hosts ice cream socials and different types of Labor Day events.

The Swifts Beach Improvement Association is currently fundraising for a new playground at the beach.

The association is working to raise money via the sale of personalized pickets made of recycled plastic milk jugs. The pickets cost $50 each. A similar fundraiser proved successful for the 2020 Lopes Playground rehabilitation.

To donate or purchase a personalized picket, reach out to swiftsbeachpark@gmail.com and send checks payable to “Swifts Beach Improvement Association — Park” to P.O. Box 30 Wareham, MA 02571.

More information about the association’s events and fundraising can be found on the group’s Facebook page, titled “Swifts Beach Improvement Association- Neighborhood Events and Information.”
