Learn about osprey conservation

On February 27th, Wareham Land Trust and Mass Audubon South Coast Sanctuaries will host a presentation about Osprey conservation on the South Coast from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Wareham High School, 7 Viking Dr. 

Ornithologist Katelyn Depot will speak about her experiences with the hacking project, in which she has relocated healthy osprey chicks from Westport to locations in Illinois, where the species is classified as endangered.

Wareham Land Trust’s Mike Perrin will share how anyone in Wareham can get involved with Osprey research and conservation through the OspreyWatch citizen science project. This event is supported by the Wareham High School Environmental Club.
