Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, §22, notice is hereby given to the public that on July 28, 2020, the Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to increase illegal parking fines upon Town Property including but not limited to beach parking lots; and, further, that on July 30, 2020, the Wareham Road Commission also voted to increase illegal parking fines on public ways and handicapped spaces. The new schedule of parking fines is as follows herein below, and shall take effect immediately upon publication:

TOWN MEETING ARTICLES TO AMEND TOWN OF WAREHAM ZONING BY-LAWS

Amending the Wareham Village WV-1 District by adding a new sub-district for redevelopment with new descriptions, density, use options, parking, and design guidelines.

Adding a new Hospitality, Recreation and Entertainment District to allow certain large-scale commercial development north of Rt 495/25.

Amending section 386 for all commercial drive-throughs, and by expanding the use to the Strip Commercial CS District, as allowed by Special Permit.

Amending the setback for cannabis testing labs to eliminate the State setback restriction for schools

Amending section 340.4, to clarify the definitions of multi-family dwellings

Amending Signs Article 11, redrafted following the recommendation of the State Attorney General’s office.

Notice of License Application Pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 91 Waterways License Application Number W17-5017

Ruth K. Saemann and Steven M. Becker

NOTIFICATION DATE: August 6, 2020

Public notice is hereby given of the waterways application by Ruth K. Saemann and Steven M. Becker to maintain a pier, ramp and float and stone revetment at 22 Over Jordan Road in the municipality of Wareham, MA located in the tidelands of Shell Point Bay. The proposed project has been determined to be water dependent.

The Department will consider all written comments on this Waterways application received within 30 days subsequent to the “Notification Date”. Failure of any aggrieved person or group of ten citizens or more residing in the municipality in which the license or permitted activity is located, to submit written comments to the Waterways Regulation Program by the Public Comments Deadline will result in the waiver of any right to an adjudicatory hearing in accordance with 310 CMR 9.13(4)(c).
