Leonardo Migliore, 85

Leonardo Migliore, 85, of Wareham, died Sunday, February 2, 2020, at his home after a long illness. He was the husband of Rosa A. (Valenti) Migliore.

Born in Sicily, he was the son of the late Antonino and Catherine (Bertolino) Migliore.  Mr. Migliore came to the United States in 1958 settling in South Boston. He was a previous resident of Revere and summered in Wareham for many years, moving there year-round in 1982. He was a winter resident of Pembroke Pines, FL, for many years.

Mr. Migliore worked as a meat cutter for Century Packing in Boston. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening. While living in Italy, he also played semi-professional soccer.

Survivors include his wife; his children, Catherine Marino and her husband Anthony of Amesbury, Dora Stuchlak and her husband Richard of E. Wareham, Antonino Migliore of Pembroke Pines, FL, and Giovanna “Joanne” Tuell and her husband David of Wareham.  Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

His funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham, on Fri., Feb. 7, 2020, at 8 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 9 a.m. Interment will be private.  Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
