LET'S TALK TRASH TEAMS!
We know there's power in teamwork especially since we just watched the best team in football win another great Super Bowl victory. But let's talk about the power of Trash Teams!
Don't Trash Wareham's annual spring cleanup weekend is April 22 and 23. One thing we have learned about picking up trash is that it is a lot easier when you are working with one or more people. It takes less time, and it's more fun than working alone.
So this year, we are asking you to create your own team if you don't already belong to one. If you are already on a trash team, or you create a new one, give yourself a cool name, decide on an area, street, park, etc, and determine which day and time you are going to participate.
Last year we had over 400 volunteers, many from social organizations, neighborhoods, church groups, school groups, families and individuals. We filled two large dumpsters full of trash and debris, and our town looked great for residents and visitors alike.
Please join us this year. Email us as soon as you have your team created and let us know your name, area of cleanup, when you will be out, and how many people you expect in your group. We will keep a running list on our Facebook page and on Wareham Week as well.
Send us your team information at donttrashwareham@gmail.com. Or visit our Facebook page and send an instant email.
We look forward to working with everyone!
