Over 127 people participated in the fourth annual indoor golf fundraiser at the Wareham Library on Sunday.

"It brought in some much needed funds to the library," said Denise Mederios, library director.

Mederios said Tuesday she didn't yet know the total amount of money raised as some expenses still needed to be paid, but it was definitely a successful event.

All proceeds from the fundraiser, which is supported by the Friends of Wareham Library organization, will purchase books and materials for the cash-strapped library

Mederios said the library certainly plans to run the event next year given the chance. She said the event is always looking for any interested businesses who want to sponsor and decorate one of the 18 holes on the "course."
